A great time to explain this. A legit and often asked question, “why the fuck I gotta pay the extra $60 something after I just paid cash cash cash for all the other things?” Well, cuz we say so. HA! Don’t you wish you could just say that? Well no, of course not. Not anymore Agents! So here it goes. If look in the above pie chart you, you will see admin and storage costs. Those are year round costs and our Annual dues pay for those directly. You can see that the income “Agent Dues” for those items matches the % spent. So, yay! It’s more than that though. We are a Burning Man Theme camp slash social club that exists and lives outside as well as inside Black Rock City. Agents and the Agency continues to bond, grow and connect collectively all around the world. A small annual fee keeps those literal and figurative lights bright and bold. We don’t do fundraisers - live or otherwise - so this is the best way we can mange. Just as important, it is an opportunity for everyone that is unable to attend Burning Man or participate in BRTA “live” to continue to be a contributing super cool Agent - till the wings fall off! It is tax deductible and is explained better by others but I tried. So go ahead and kick down for the cutest and sweetest administration of the best theme camp on playa.
