Starting back in 1996, with four planes and a scrappy airport bar, we started small and wild (yes we burned our bar. Yes we dragged parts of it by a chain, as it burned, behind our art car.). We’ve evolved with Black Rock City and like Burning Man, we’ve become even better.

Lounge & Observation Deck
Nestled in the heart of BRTA, our architect-designed Starport is the buzzing hub of Airport village!
Our Starport offers a cozy Lounge filled with cuddle spots, a canopy hangout-hammock and a 30 foot high observation deck!
With a stage for epic performances, a sound system that gets the party started, a concierge desk, and our amazing Curious Beaver Bar, it's the perfect place to kick back, grab a drink, and find new adventures—both at the airport and beyond.
BRTA hosts a variety of performers including music artists, aerialists, dancers and djs!

Swing by the legendary and official BlackRock Municipal Airport watering hole, the Starport Bar, open every day under the Starport from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, just after our pilots finish gifting those stunning scenic flights! Every sunset is a different experience. We get you well set for the evening, night and sunrise to follow.
Galley
Our Galley, the culinary hub of BRTA, is a place to feed people and bring friends together to share stories. We even offer a Pancake Breakfast and a Spaghetti Dinner to the community!
What began as a humble setup in the back of a box truck has evolved into a state-of-the-art kitchen that has received numerous accolades and features on the BRC Kitchen Tour!
Our Galley is a Communal Effort but world class food and style. It’s the best meal on the playa. Offer to wash dishes on a non-agent could get fed.
